History

Filozofia Nauki (The Philosophy of Science) was founded in 1993 by Zdzisław Augustynek, who became the first President of the Advisory Board, and Jacek J. Jadacki, who became editor-in-chief, together with Anna Lissowska-Wójtowicz and Tomasz Bigaj. The main motivation behind starting Filozofia Nauki – as the opening editorial announced – was to create a forum for the exchange of ideas between philosophers and philosophically oriented scientists.
