In the article the logical structure of the most common arguments concerning abortion is discussed. In particular, the „animation” argument, the „viability” argument and the arguments, which are based ot scientific discoveries concerning the developement of the embryo are discussed. The author distinguishes two problems:
i) when does the live start; ii) when does it start to deserve protection and respect from others.
