Knobe Effect and Butler's Problem in "The Philosophy of Science Library"
Studium teoretyczne i eksperymentalne efektu Knobe’a i problemu Butlera (Theoretical and Experimental Study of the Knobe Effect and Butler's Problem)
People are more likely to consider the side effects of an action to be intentional when they are bad or undesirable than when they are good or useful (Knobe effect). Likewise, people are not inclined to argue that you can intentionally roll a six by playing dice, although they believe you can kill someone on purpose by playing Russian roulette (Butler's problem). Both these phenomena, despite intensive research in the last twenty years, have not yet been satisfactorily explained.
